You can easily join daily boat trips leaving straight from our dock to visit nearby islands like Mabul, Mataking, Bohey Dulang and famous Sipadan.
You will find some of the clearest coral environments right in this marine park. Swimmers frequently spot green turtles alongside friendly reef sharks in the shallow waters. Beginners feel very comfortable swimming near Sibuan and Mantabuan because the ocean remains calm for most months.
This region provides access to highly rated diving locations globally. Photographers love exploring the smaller macro marine life around Mabul and Kapalai. For those looking for larger ocean encounters, you can book an advance permit to dive at the renowned Sipadan Island.
Take a boat out yourself to slowly navigate the peaceful waters around our property. The ocean surface here stays very flat so anyone can try paddling without prior experience. Stronger kayakers might prefer traveling slightly further to see shallow reef structures during low tide.
Hop on a speedboat to see multiple island stops within a single day. Guests usually spend time relaxing on white sand beaches before swimming in clear lagoons. Many tours also include the scenic hike up Bohey Dulang. You can organize your trip directly with our team the night before.
This massive marine protection zone spans a huge section of the ocean. A guided boat ride brings guests straight to Bohey Dulang where you will hike up a wooden stairway trail. Once at the top, a fantastic wide view opens up showing the colorful volcanic lagoon below. This view is often considered the best photo opportunity in the region.
A fast boat ride takes you directly to Mataking where long stretches of soft sand meet clear water. Guests love walking right off the beach to view nearby coral systems. The neighboring island of Timba-Timba acts as a natural gathering area for green sea turtles. This trip gives you plenty of time to swim or simply lay under the sun.
Islands like Sibuan and Mantabuan provide fantastic swimming conditions right off the shoreline. Because commercial fishing is restricted here, the underwater environment thrives with colorful corals. Swimmers regularly float past large schools of fish as well as the occasional reef shark swimming peacefully below.
Photographers flock to Mabul specifically to search for tiny, colorful marine creatures hiding in the sand. The neighboring Kapalai area is an underwater sandbank where large groups of sea turtles rest. You can easily swim out from the beach or jump off wooden platforms to see this active underwater world.
This volcanic structure rises straight up from the deep ocean floor to create an incredible diving wall. You will likely see massive tornadoes of barracuda swimming past dozens of resting turtles. Because it is a protected area, the local government strictly limits the daily visitor count. Divers must secure their permits very early to guarantee entry. Currently, guests are allowed up to three separate dives per day here.
During a full day out, divers can explore several distinct underwater zones including South Point and Hanging Gardens. Every location features unique currents that bring in different types of fish. Many guests request Barracuda Point specifically to swim inside the large fish formations. Local dive centers will handle the complicated permit paperwork for small groups.

Directions
Visitors must first fly into Tawau Airport, which serves as the primary gateway for this region. You will find regular domestic flights arriving from major hubs like Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu. Anyone flying internationally will need to transit through one of these larger Malaysian airports first.
Once you land, you have a scenic drive ahead to reach the coastal town. The journey covers roughly 100 kilometers and takes less than two hours.
Your final leg involves a scheduled boat ride leaving from the central town dock. Please reach out to our staff after securing your dates so we can reserve your seat on the vessel. We run transfers in both the morning and the afternoon.
